‘Eyelid Movies’ could be described in a number of ways, but what stands out most is Phantogram’s knack in creating fresh, electronic, urban-like rhythmic beats. It’s just so hard to believe that this album is a debut. It’s not perfect, but for a debut album, it’s pretty darn close!
What’s happened since I listened to Embryonic? I’ve listened to no less than seven more Flaming Lips albums, and have enjoyed them all immensely. After finally understanding what the Flaming Lips were all about through Embryonic, I’m finally finding myself enjoying their previous works more and more. All of their albums have their own individual feeling, and I love that.
